About the Database Administrator position

We are looking for a professional sql developer and database administrator (DBA) in Solvoyo, who will optimize the database performance, keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7 and provide continuous support for critical production systems. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Database Administrator responsibilities are:

  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Utilize high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
  • Ensure minimal database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, data security, and integrity.
  • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure the development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
  • Design and create tables, views, triggers, partitions, complex stored procedures, functions, indexes and other database objects
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
  • Document database policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure they are followed by the team

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or another relevant area

  • 3+ years experience working in a Database Administrator position

  • Solid experience with database standards and end-user applications

  • Solid experience with data backup, recovery, security and integrity

  • Ability to collaborate productively with the development team to ensure system consistency, provide technical support, and identify new requirements.

  • Experience with DBA case tools (frontend or backend) and third-party tools

  • Experience with backups restores and recovery models

  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server 2012/17/19

  • Knowledge programming languages for API

  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and TSQL

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to organize and plan work independently, in a rapidly changing environment
